As a honeymoon destination, Acapulco is an adventure paradise without limits. Acapulco is world renowned for its variety, glamour and luxury. - Acapulco enjoys millions of visitors a year, but has only been in the tourist business for 50 years. While Europe was rebuilding after World War II, this beautiful destination's true potential was recognized. Acapulco had 200 hotels by 1964 when the first authorized jet aircraft landed. The planes haven't stopped landing since, as the golden beaches and opulent resorts call to people from all over the globe.
- Explore and discover the exciting nightlife of this bustling port. It offers more variety, emotion, and Mexican flavor than any other tourist resort in the country. With romantic eateries, vibrant nightclubs, discos, and hot salsa, there is something for every taste.
- Have your breath taken away by the legendary "Clavadistas" (cliff divers) of La Quebrada, a dramatic rock formation on Acapulco's western coast, not far from the Zocalo. A narrow finger of the Pacific reaches in below steep cliffs from which local 'clavadistas' dive 135 feet into the cove several times each day.

The city has grown considerably. The house John Wayne owned is still maintained by his estate. and is right at the point of the bay. The night life pulsates and don't forget to drink plenty of coco-locoa. A coconut drink that has vodka, rum, and tequila in it.
